The days of switching from computer to your television to watch a UFC event in its entirety are over. That’s right, the prelim fights have aired on facebook for the better half of a year will now be moving to Fuel TV. In fact, during a media call on Wednesday with Fuel TV general manager George Greenberg, he said that about twenty-five percent of the FOX owned stations programming will be dedicated to UFC content.
Along with the prelims Fuel TV is set to air non PPV overseas events, weigh ins, UFC Countdown & Primetime specials, Unleashed, Best of Pride and others.
It looks like FOX is using the UFC to help build up the Fuel TV name which is currently only available in about 32 million homes. That’s a third less of what FX, the new home of The Ultimate Fighter will be reaching. Under the current deal the UFC will air 6 LIVE events on FX and 4 LIVE events on FOX. That’s a great start but if you want to see everything the UFC has to offer, you better hope your cable provider carries Fuel TV!
