UFC 146: “Mayhem’s” Final Stand

Jason “Mayhem” Miller is set to face C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146, on May 26, 2012. As the fight approaches, he’s surely thinking that after a lifetime of fighting it all rides on this next fight.  This is especially true after his previous lack-luster performance against Michael “The Count” Bisping. Bisping put on a demolishing show the night he faced Miller at TUF 14 Finale, where he finished Miller by TKO (knees and punches) midway through the third and final round.

Though Miller has a professional MMA record of 23-8, compared to Dollaway’s 11-4, as “Mayhem” said, “There’s no easy fight in the UFC”. And as all of us dedicated fans know, he is very correct. One of the biggest perks of being an MMA fan is knowing that at any moment, anyone can steal the show.

Fight Breakdown:
Both fighters coming off losses: We’ll be watching two very hungry fighters.

Standup: With the experience and overall fight history percentages leaning towards the standup skills of Miller, Dollaway will most likely be looking to utilize his heavy wrestling background (ASU All-American @184lbs).

Ground Game: Classic Wrestler vs. Jiu Jitsu match-up. Anything goes.

“Fighting is my wife, and it will give me kids one day.”-Miller.

After a statement like that, one could infer that Jason has truly put all of his eggs into one basket. As fellow aspiring “something or others,” his fans have connected to something specific in his storyline that we can all relate to, a dream and the necessary sacrifices that come with that dream. So good luck to Dollaway and Miller, and be sure not to miss UFC 146.
