UFC 150 adds Jake Shields vs Ed Herman

[singlepic id=554 w=320 h=240 float=left]Jake Shields (2-2, UFC) will look to keep winning when he faces Ed Herman (7-5, UFC) at UFC 150.  The fight card  is expected to take place in Denver, Colorado’s Pepsi Center on August 11 and may feature the rematch of Benson Henderson vs Frankie Edgar for the lightweight title.

Dana White confirmed the fight on his Twitter today.

This fight will be Shields’ return to middleweight. Shields was on a 15 fight prior to losing to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 129 for the UFC’s welterweight title in April 2011.  Since joining the UFC he’s fought only at welterweight going 2-2.

A win for Ed Herman would extend his win streak to four, a career best.  He most recently fought at UFC 143 in February and took out Clifford Starks with a rear naked choke.
