Anderson Silva Wants GSP No Matter What

[singlepic id=1226 w=320 h=240 float=left]On November 17, 2012, Georges St. Pierre is set to make his return to the Octagon after a 17 month lay off. He’s set to face Carlos Condit to unify the UFC welterweight title at UFC 154 in Montreal, Canada. The UFC had said they would consider making the superfight happen between GSP and reigning UFC middleweight title holder, Anderson Silva, but only if St. Pierre defeated Carlos Condit.

Silva was interviewed on Sport TV yesterday and said whether or not GSP wins or loses, he wants to face him next.

“Regardless of who wins, even if St. Pierre loses, a fight with me can happen. A fight like this is above anything else. St. Pierre is one of the greatest of the UFC. Right now, a fight with Condit is meaningless.”

The superfight would most likely take place at a catch weight. Silva has been calling the shots on who he wants to face next and has made it even more clear that he doesn’t want to face any of the possible middleweight contenders and defend his title an 11th time.
