UFC officials announced the match-up on Friday.
In his last seven UFC fights, Stout (17-8-1, MMA) has earned four Fight of the Night honors and one Knockout of the Night. Since taking home a unanimous decision victory over Spencher Fisher at UFC on FUEL TV 4, he will look to have back to back wins when he faces “The Bull”.
Makdessi (9-2, MMA) suffered the first two consecutive losses of his MMA career inside the Octagon to Dennis Hallman and Anthony Njokuani respectively. Both fights were fought at catch-weights with Dennis Hallman missing weight and then Makdessi missed weight against Njokuani. Obviously Makdessi will need to get back in the win column to avoid the dreaded UFC pinkslip.
UFC 154 is expected to be headlined by a unification bout for the UFC welterweight title between champ Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit.
