Shane Carwin took to Twitter today saying he’d cancelled his trip to England and wouldn’t be signing autographs there because of a knee injury.

MMA Weekly.com confirmed with Carwin’s manager at Ingrained Media, that the injury was not severe and that Carwin will still be able to fight Roy “Big Country” Nelson on December 15 at the TUF Finale.

According to the report, Carwin hurt his knee in wrestling practice, but suffered no major tears. Carwin will rehab the injury at home before making a return to training.

Carwin has been out of action since June 2011 following a loss in a title eliminator against Junior dos Santos. He’s had neck and back surgery in that time and is fully recovered from those injuries.

The Ultimate Fighter season 16 is currently airing on FX, Friday nights at 10pm ET/PT. Carwin and Nelson are this season’s coaches and will face off at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV in the season finale on December 15.
