The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale Adds Three Fights to the Card

The Ultimate Fighter 16’s season finale has added three more fights to the card on December 15 at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Two of which feature former Ultimate Fighter cast members. The UFC announced the news on their website,, Tuesday afternoon.

Vinc “From Hell” Pichel (6-0, MMA) from The Ultimate Fighter LIVE will take on Russian fighter Rustam Khabilov (14-1, MMA) in a lightweight clash. This will be Pichel’s first fight in the UFC since appearing on last season’s Ultimate Figher Live fighting at lightweight. He was unable to fight in last season’s finale because his opponent, James Vick was injured. Khabilov is a veteran MMA fighter coming out of M-1 and One FC.

Bantamweights Reuben Duran (8-3-1, MMA) and Hugo Viana (6-0, MMA) are set to battle. Brazilian fighter Viana made his promotional debut at UFC 147 and pulled off a decision win over John Teixeira da Conceicao. Duran makes his return to the Octagon after a year layoff due to shoulder and knee injuries. He stands at 1-1 in the UFC.

Also at bantamweight, two fighters who won their UFC debuts will meet in the Octagon when “Brtual” Johnny Bedford who fought on the Ultimate Fighter in season 14, (18-9-1, MMA) faces Marcos Vinicius (20-3-1, MMA).

The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale takes place Dec. 15 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
In addition to the new matchups, previously reported and now-confirmed bouts include welterweights Nick Catone (9-3, MMA) vs. T.J. Waldburger (15-7, MMA) and welterweights Mike Pyle (23-8-1 MMA, 6-3 UFC) vs. James Head (9-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC).
