Following losses at UFC 157 in Anaheim, CA last month, the UFC has apparently cut four more fighters. Josh Neer, Caros Fodor, Brock Jardine and Jon Manley were all let go. MMA Opinion first reported the news. UFC.com has also removed the listed fighter’s profiles from the website.
Josh “The Dentist” Neer (33-13-1) walks away after serving his second stint inside the Octagon. His overall UFC record was 4-6 and he’d just lost his third consecutive bout. Against Court McGee, Neer was purely dominated throughout the course of the fight. McGee walked away with the unanimous decision win.
Caros Fodor (7-3) fought most of his career under the Strikeforce banner until getting brought into the UFC fold. Unfortunately, he could not prevail in his first outing in the Octagon losing a split decision to Sam Stout. Despite a fiver fight win streak in Strikeforce, Fodor suffered back to back losses and was cut.
Brock Jardine (9-3) just couldn’t punch his way to a win in the UFC. After losing twice in a row, “The Machine” who trains at The PIT, was also release from the UFC. In his debut he dropped a decision to Rick Story. At UFC 157, Jardine was submitted by Kenny Robertson via modified kneebar in the first round.
Former Ultimate Fighter season 16 competitor, Jon Manley (7-2), made his debut against castmate Neil Magny at UFC 157. Manley lost the decision and was also cut.
Two other fighters that were released in the past weeks, Lavar Johnson who also fought at UFC 157 and Riki Fukuda. Both of those fighters had tested positive for banned substances and had lost their bouts which led to their release.
