After failing to make weight at Friday’s weigh-in, Nick Catone was hospitalized for dehydration. As a result, Catone’s planned bout against welterweight James Head has been pulled from tonight’s fight card.

UFC officials announced the news Saturday.

Catone had weighed in at 173 pounds on Friday, which is two pounds over limit. He did not immediately attempt to get on the scale a second time. Head had agreed to take the bout despite Catone missing weight. The New Jersey native, Catone, would be fined 20 percent of his purse.

This would have been Catone’s second scrap at 170-lbs, he previously fought in the UFC at middleweight. He’d also lost three of his last five.

Since the preliminary bout was supposed to take place as part of the Facebook portion of UFC 159’s card, the start time for tonight’s live stream will feature only two bouts and begin at 7pmET/4pm PT. UFC 159 will now feature 11 bouts instead of 12.
