The 36-year-old Sexton, who hails from England, has an opportunity to bounce back from her loss to Alexis Davis at UFC 161. A pioneer of WMMA, Sexton began fighting in 2002. “The Surgeon” has won 8 of her last 10. In her second effort with the UFC, she faces 21-year-old Brazilian prospect Andrade.
Andrade was welcomed to the UFC by Liz Carmouche who finished her in the second round. The technical knockout was only the third loss of Andrade’s career. With nine professional wins under her belt, “Bate Estaca” has finished each woman she’s defeated.
A middleweight 5-round battle pitting England’s own Michael Bisping opposite Mark Munoz will be the main event.
