The finale of the 18th season Ultimate Fighter take place on November 30 in Las Vegas and two more bouts have been confirmed by the UFC.
A heavyweight battle featuring two UFC newcomers is on tap for the event. Also, featherweights Akira Corassani from The Ultimate Fighter season 14 and Maximo Blanco will go toe-to-toe.
Jared Rosholt (8-1) previously fought with Legacy FC and has most recently competed with a regional Oklahoma promotion called C3. The Team Takedown product lost only once in his professional career at Legacy 13 where he was knocked out. Currently on a 4-fight win streak, the 27-year-old will make his UFC debut.
His opponent Walt Harris (4-1) is also making his promotional debut. The 30-year-old has finished all of his pro fights by way of first round (T)KO. Harris’ only loss was by way of decision and he has won 3 straight. However, the last time Harris competed was at Superior Cage Combat 4 in February 2012.
Corassani (11-3, 1NC) is a former Ultimate Fighter 14 competitor who last fought in his native Sweden where he defeated Robbie Peralta by way of unanimous decision. He stands at 2-0 with the promotion.
Blanco (9-4-1, 1NC) lost his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage, but rebounded with a win over Sam Sicilia at the Ultimate Fighter 17 finale in April. The 29-year-old will look to get a new streak going with a win over Corassani.
Four contests are slated for the TUF 18 finale. Targeted for the main event is a rematch for the flyweight title between Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez. A lightweight grudge match featuring Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz is expected to take place on the card as well.
