During Dana White’s media scrum ahead of UFC 169, the UFC President confirmed that a heavyweight contender’s bout between Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum is on tap as the main event for UFC on FOX 11.

Orlando, Florida’s Amway Center will host the fight card taking place on April 19.

Browne wrapped up an impressive 2013 by knocking out MMA veteran Josh Barnett in one minute at UFC 168. The Hawaiian also finished Alistair Overeem at UFC Fight Night 26 and Gabriel Gonzaga at the TUF 17 Finale, both in the opening round of action by way of knockout.

The 36-year-old Werdum has also won three straight, but only fought once in 2013. Following a coaching stint on TUF Brasil, Werdum faced Rodrigo Nogueira and stopped him with an armbar at UFC on FUEL TV 10. Werdum has also posted wins over Roy Nelson and Mike Russow in that streak.

The winner of the heavyweight showdown could place themselves in line for a shot at fighting UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez.
