Jason “The KC Bandit” High’s (18-4) next fight will be contested at lightweight in the UFC. The 32-year old will clash with Rafael dos Anjos (20-7) at UFC Fight Night 42 in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 7.
High has fought all of his career at welterweight and plans to make his debut at 155-pounds. After his win at UFC 167 against Anthony Lapsley, High was on tap to meet Adlan Amagov at UFC Fight Night 35. But the Missouri native was sidelined by appendicitis. When he returns to the Octagon, High will look to extend his win streak to 3 in a row.
Dos Anjos saw a 5-fight win streak snapped against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC on FOX 11 this month. Nurmagomedov was able to manhandle dos Anjos, taking him down 6 times in the fight. The Brazilian slipped to #8 in the UFC rankings following the loss. The 29-year old hopes to get back on track quickly it seems as he’s taken this fight with less than 2 months to prepare.
