Miguel Torres vs. Desmond Green will shift into the main event spotlight for tonight’s Titan FC 31 card airing on CBS Sports Network. A series of events put the change in motion.
First, TUF 16 alum Mike Ricci was expected to do battle with Yoshiyuki Yoshida in the main event. Ricci missed weight for the lightweight title fight by 2 pounds.
At first, Yoshida accepted the catchweight fight that would proceed without championship implications. However, according to a report by MMAFighting.com, Titan FC CEO Lex McMahon explained that Yoshida changed his mind overnight and refused the fight just hours before the event. Front Row Brian was the first to report the news on Twitter.
