TUF 19 light heavyweight winner, Corey Anderson (4-0) has received another new opponent for UFC 181. His initial opponent, Gian Villante, withdrew from the Dec. 6 fight with an injury and was replaced by Jonathan Wilson, who also unable to make the date.
The UFC announced Monday that Justin “Lazy Bones” Jones (3-0) will now do battle with Anderson.
Jones last fought at RFA 15 where he submitted John Hackleman, Jr. in the opening round. Undefeated through both his amateur (4-0) and pro career, the Victory MMA athlete has secured finishes against 6 opponents.
Anderson will return to the Mandalay Bay Events Center where he secured his first UFC win. Still undefeated at 4-0, the Illinois native finished Matt Van Buren at the TUF 19 Finale in 61 seconds to earn a 6-figure contract with the UFC. To date, “Beastin’ 25/8″ has finished 3 adversaries with strikes.
UFC 181 features a welterweight title rematch in the main event when UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks puts his belt on the line against Robbie Lawler.
