Here’s the latest fight announcements as made official by the UFC in the last 24 hours:

UFC Fight Night 72 – San Diego, Ca. – July 15

Two of California’s own will trade leather at UFC Fight Night 72 set for the Valley View Casino in San Diego on July 15.

Ferguson will look to extend his win streak to 6 when he confronts Thomson. “El Cucuy” has managed to finish four out of five opponents in that run. He last stopped Gleison Tibau in the first round at UFC 184, submitting the Octagon veteran by rear-naked choke.

Josh Thomson faced Bobby Green last July in his hometown of San Jose, CA. The fight went the distance with the judges scoring the bout in favor of Green. It marked the second straight split decision loss for “The Real Punk”. Thomson was next slated to collide with Gilbert Burns at UFC Fight Night 62, but withdrew due to injury.

Additionally, Sean Strickland vs. Igor Araujo was added to the card. Strickland also hails from California and will look to rebound from a loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 61. Araujo will look to bounce back from his knockout loss to George Sullivan which forced a halt to his 6-fight win streak.

UFC Fight Night 64: Gonzaga vs. CroCop 2 – Krakow, Poland – Apr. 11

In fight card change, Steven Ray will serve as a late replacement for Marcin Bandel on the April 11 card in Krakow, Poland. Bandel was originally slated to meet Jason Saggo, who withdrew due to a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in training.

Ray hails from Scotland last had a rubber match with Curt Warburton in Cage Warriors. A Cage Warriors lightweight champion, Ray has collected half of his wins via submission.

Twelve of Bandel’s 13 wins have come via submission. The Polish fighter is coming off his UFC debut which resulted in the first loss of his career. Maribek Taisumov stopped Bandel with strikes in 61 seconds, snapping the prospect’s 12 fight win streak.

UFC 186: Johnson vs. Horiguchi – Montreal, Canada – Apr. 25

Aisling Daly recently saw her opponent, Claudia Gadelha, forced out of their planned tilt in Poland due to injury. Instead the Irish native will confront TUF 20 castmate Randa Markos in Canada. Daly was victorious in her UFC debut at the Ultimate Fighter season 20. “Ais the Bash” submitted Alex Chambers.

Markos fell short in her promotional debut against Jessica Penne. The Canadian-based athlete dropped a decision at the TUF 20 Finale. To date, she has submitted three of four adversaries she holds wins over.
